The Hardy Boys Papercutz Graphic Novel #8 Board to Death ~ My Review

Cool cover art and exciting mystery for the 8th volume of Papercutz’s Hardy Boys graphic novel series! 😎 I’ve read this a couple of times now and enjoy this great summer (or any time of the year! 😉 ) read each time. The Hardy brothers, action, adventure, humor, danger – yeah, it’s got all that. 😎 A lot to love about the book! 🙂

The cover art is by Daniel Rendon and the rest of the artwork in the graphic novel is drawn by Paulo Henrique. Both the story and the drawings work together to give the reader an exciting mystery! 😎

The book begins with the dangerous finale action of a case, and as I’ve mentioned before that’s something I really like when they have that in this series. For the Hardy Boys graphic novel #8, the brothers are in the process of rescuing a kidnapped girl. It’s great with Joe and Frank dressed as pirates and Joe had a lot of fun with the pirate talk annoying the bad guys! 🙂 Fun! 😀 When bad people get annoyed by good people it’s very cool and very enjoyable to read! 😀

Awesome brother teamwork which I love to read! 😎 Fun brother banter, too. 😎

Here’s part of the synopsis from Papercutz ~

The brothers Frank and Joe Hardy go undercover at a major skateboarding contest in Venice, California to find out which competitor is trying to kill off the competition—literally?

They risk their lives as they try to keep everyone safe and solve who is behind the problems that could have deadly results. There are suspects to check out and quick before it’s too late. Good investigating and courage by Frank and Joe. 😎 Skateboarding is a cool sport and already dangerous, so when you add the elements of persons up to no good – watch out! 😮

I also really like that Joe pokes fun at the over-the-top attitudes when they put together his persona – Hardcase. 😀 That goes well for his hard head. 😉 😛

Such thrilling action that you can almost see it jumping off the pages as the reader is caught up in the danger. The brothers do a great (and extremely-necessary-with-all-the-danger) job looking out for each other. 😎 When I’m reading, I’m there with them every second.

The finale is pulse-pounding excitement and I LOVE the way the Hardy brothers outsmart their foe (or foes, not saying, so it’s spoiler free.). 😎 Once you’ve read it, you want immediately to go read it again! Cool action! 😎

At the close of the book when the Hardy bros are back home in Bayport, Aunt Trudy even gets a new nickname and that was fun as well as nice of her cool nephews. 🙂

This Hardy Boys graphic novel has definite re-readability! If you haven’t read it yet, hopefully you will get an opportunity to do so. 🙂 You won’t be bored to death. 😉 What? You didn’t think I was going to miss saying that, did you? 😆 It’s available in ebook and used paperback or hardcover. Check online and at libraries as well as used bookstores to find a copy! 🙂 I’ve read some great Hardy Boys graphic novels from Papercutz so far and this is one of them. 🙂 Thank you to all of the nice people @Papercutz! 🙂 A cool book is one that is enjoyed on reading it the first time and every time. 🙂
