  1. Yes! 😀 I agree this is a very cool thing! 😀 I look forward to adding these titles (and the rest of the Clues Brothers series’ titles as they become available 😉 ) to my Hardy Boys eBook collection! 🙂 I think these books have great cover art and illustrations. 🙂 Thank you for the info, Ann! 😀 Callie

    • Yep, cool! They should be good – looking forward to reading them and also reading what you think of them, Callie. 🙂 You’re very welcome. 🙂 They’ll likely – hopefully – release all 17 of them! 🙂 I’ve been wanting to read these. 😎

  2. Thank you for the update, Ann! 🙂 Nice – all seventeen books in the series available so close together! 😎 Callie

    • You’re welcome, Callie! 🙂 Yep – hope they’re good! Looking forward to finding out! 🙂 I’ve seen snippets online, but I’ve never read a Clue Bros. book before. 🙂

  3. Book number one is out now. If you have read the sample for it from your choice of eBook sellers, you will know why I didn’t add this title to my Hardy Boys eBook collection.

If you haven’t read it yet, I can tell you plainly – I think that this book is unworthy to display the Hardy name on its cover.

Frank and Joe Hardys’ true personalities are far different from the boys in this book. The real Frank Hardy isn’t always picking on Joe’s interests. And Joe is not crazy about monster stuff. There are other problems with this book; those were just two that I chose to comment on. (Remember, you said you wanted to read what I think of the Clues Brothers series, Ann! 😉 I can only be honest.) I thought it was offensive that apparently we are expected to accept these two boys as Frank and Joe Hardy at ages nine and eight; I do not believe that these two boys represent the real Hardy boys at ANY age.

    I don’t recommend this book.

Next week there will be three more books in this series available for purchase. Will you give them a try, Ann? I look forward to reading what you have to say about this series as each book becomes available. 🙂 Callie

    • Yep, I read the sample chapter….LOL – yes, I want you to be honest, Callie! 🙂 And I want to know your thoughts on the books. 😎 You’re very nice and I can tell you feel very strongly about what you read. 😉 I totally agree with you – neither Frank nor Joe acts like that – at any age. It was just for the purpose of that particular book, not accurate. The real Joe actually makes fun of stupid monster stuff and the real Frank doesn’t treat his younger brother like that.

BUT! 😀 I still have hope for other books in the CB series. I read the first chapters for #14 All Eyes on First Prize and for #15 Slip, Slide, and Slap Shot on the Simon and Schuster site and they both look good. 😎 So I’m still looking forward to the others in the series. 🙂

And yes, I definitely want to check out the ones next week. 🙂 #2 The Karate Clue, #3 First Day, Worst Day, and #4 Jump Shot Detectives each have an interesting synopsis that sounds good. 🙂

      • Thank you, Ann. 🙂 You are absolutely right about the real Frank and Joe Hardy! 😎

🙂 I hoped you would not give up on it; it is nice to talk together on here about the accurate, real characters and stand up for them when they are misrepresented.

Books two, three, and four will soon be out; I look forward to reading what you have to say about them, Ann! 😉 🙂 Callie

        • You’re welcome, Callie. 🙂 Thanks – glad we agree! 😎
Nope, you know me – not going to give up on something. 🙂 Yes, it really is great and super fun focusing on facts! 😀
Yep. 🙂 Cool – I hope to read one very soon! 😀 😎

          • 🙂

That is what I thought. 😎 Yeah! 😀

I enjoyed reading the Kindle sample for book number four, Jump Shot Detectives. 😉 🙂 Callie

              • I love reading Jump Shot Detectives; it is an excellent book! 😀 I love the logical sleuthing by Frank, Joe, Iola, and Chet! 😀 Others helped, too. 😎 The mystery is written so well and the humor is witty and excellent! 😀 I love reading good books and this one qualifies as such! 😀 I am so glad they made it available in eBook, too! 😀

There are two mistakes in this story in Hardy book facts, making it factoids in this book. (Contrary to the popular misuse of the word “factoid” – which is assuming it means “small fact or interesting bit of trivia” – “factoid” is the opposite of “fact”. Factoids in this book: Tony is Joe’s age and Iola is only seven. Facts from the original series: Tony is Frank’s age and Iola is the same age as Joe and Biff (everyone else is a year older).

I recommend Jump Shot Detectives as a great Hardy Boys mystery for everyone who is up to this reading level and beyond! 😀 (It is a great read-aloud book, too! :)) It is easy to read, but is also deep thinking enough to keep everyone entertained from start to finish! 😎 Callie

                • Cool! 😀 😎

                  😆 You’ve got the facts on factoids! 😉 Yep, you’re right! 😀

Awesome! 🙂 I hope to do a review for this one sometime. 🙂 I’ve got some posts good to go and some to do, so not sure when! 🙂 Great comments as always, Callie! 🙂 Thanks! 🙂

                  • 😀 😎 😀

That would be great, Ann! 😀 Your reviews are so cool and fun and informative! 🙂 I look forward to reading your review whenever! 😀 Thank you and you are welcome. 🙂 Callie
